Welcome to Shooting Star Equestrian Center

Shooting Star Equestrian Center is a 120 acre equine boarding facility located in Dawsonville, GA. We are secluded and private yet in a convenient location only 4 miles from the intersection of Hwy 400 & 53. We provide unmatched turnout for your horse and amenities for your use.

Shooting Star Equestrian Center is owned and operated by Joel and Katie Paulk. With a combined 45+ years of experience of boarding facility management and even more experience with horses you can feel confident that your horse is in the best hands.  

We believe in horses living as close to natural as possible. At Shooting Star we have large wide open pastures for horses to run and live in a herd which we believe is best for their physical and mental wellbeing. 

We have quality grass pastures that provide horses with grass all year. We also provide hay rolls during the winter in the pastures 24/7. We grow and cut our own hay and it's the same great quality as the grass your horse eats.

We offer full board, partial board and pasture board. 

All boarding options include access to all of our amenities.

We require all horses to have negative coggins tests and yearly vaccinations including Rabies, Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, West Nile Virus, Flu/Rhino and Strangles Intranasal.
